Meet the new ShopWrker
ShopWrker is now your own AI coworker with its own computer, and nearly every part of ShopWrk has been rebuilt, from booking and Services to the Calendar, payments and your inbox.
New
- ShopWrker, your own AI coworker. Everyone on your team now gets their own ShopWrker. It's far more capable than the old assistant: it works across your whole shop, handles multi-step jobs on its own, and keeps going in the background while you get on with your day.
- ShopWrker has its own computer. ShopWrker can now go and do things on the web for you: look up a supplier, fill in a form, download a spec sheet or order film. Watch it work live, take over at any moment, and approve every purchase before it goes through.
- Sign in to websites safely. When ShopWrker needs a login for a supplier or portal, you enter it in a secure box rather than typing it into the chat. ShopWrker can use the saved login without ever seeing your password.
- ShopWrker connects to your email and apps. Connect Gmail and the other apps you run your business on, and ShopWrker can search, read and act in them for you. You decide which actions it can take on its own and which ones ask you first.
- ShopWrker speaks up first. ShopWrker watches your shop and tells you when something needs you: an important email, an invoice that's overdue or never got sent, an approved estimate nobody has booked, film running low, a bad review or a new lead.
- Background work. Hand ShopWrker a bigger job, like comparing three film suppliers, and it works on it in the background. You get a notification when it's done or when it needs a decision from you.
- Reminders and routines. Ask ShopWrker to remind you about something later, or set up a check that runs every morning or every week. Pause or change them any time.
- ShopWrker remembers how you work. Tell it once how you like things done and it remembers next time; ask it to forget something and it does. Owners can set shop-wide rules that apply to everyone.
- Side chats. Open a separate chat for each topic so your main chat stays clean. Each one keeps its own history.
- Standard and Pro. Use Standard for everyday questions, or switch to Pro when the job needs deeper thinking.
- You approve what matters. Before ShopWrker texts a customer, changes a price or spends money, it shows you exactly what it's about to do. Edit the message, approve it or say no.
- Pages, PDFs and images. Ask ShopWrker for a price sheet, a report or a customer handout and it builds it as a page you can share or download as a PDF. It can also create and edit images; everything it makes is saved in your Library.
- Book a job on one screen. Booking a job now happens in one place. Each service gets its own date, time, technician, bay, panels, film and planned material, and ShopWrk flags double-bookings before you save.
- Mark each service done. Finish services one at a time, with the film actually used and any waste. The job's status moves along on its own as its services are finished.
- A new Calendar. The Calendar has a new design with a cleaner week view, today's queue of cars in the shop, and an agenda view on phones. Every time on it follows your shop's time zone.
- Customers can pay the deposit when they approve. A customer can approve an estimate and pay its deposit in one step, before you've booked the job. The deposit follows the estimate into the job.
- Email campaigns. Pick who you want to reach, then build the email by dragging in blocks, or let AI write the first draft and polish it from there.
- Pay and attendance for your team. Set how each person is paid and how their attendance works. See every shift with its details, fix clock-in mistakes, and record pay for each service on every job.
- Search that understands you. Type what you're looking for in plain words, like "unpaid invoices from last week", and search finds it. Open it with nothing typed and it suggests what needs your attention.
- ShopWrk on your phone's home screen. Add ShopWrk to your phone's home screen and it opens like an app, with screens, menus and the inbox reworked to fit a phone.
- Document templates. Build waivers, warranties and other shop documents in a full document editor.
Improved
- A fresh look across the whole app. A new logo, and buttons, fields, menus, tables and cards that look and behave the same everywhere. Statuses are a simple icon and label, and settings pages are laid out as clean cards.
- A redesigned Contact page. Everything about a customer on one page: their details, vehicles, deals, jobs, invoices and the full conversation.
- Services, rebuilt. One Services list with categories you can rename and reorder, and a simpler editor. Each option has its own prices and hours per vehicle group, its own checklist and its own tax, and one Save stores the whole service.
- Vehicle groups and panels in Settings. Set up your vehicle groups and panels once in Settings, then use them across every service.
- Who can do the work. Choose which technicians and bays can do each service, and booking only offers the right ones.
- Materials and stock that add up. Choose panels and film when you book, and ShopWrk works out the material you'll need. Stock comes off automatically when the work is done.
- Job history stays put. Swapping a technician keeps everyone's past work on the job, and removing a service that's already started asks for a reason and keeps its time and pay records.
- Job reminders. Customers get an appointment reminder the day before by default. Change the timing or channel for any job that needs it.
- One conversation per customer. Texts, emails, calls, voicemails, Instagram and Messenger now sit in one timeline per customer, so you never have to hunt across tabs for what was said.
- Voice notes and dictation. Record a voice note to send by text, Instagram or Messenger, or dictate a reply instead of typing it.
- Inbox search and filters. Search sits at the top of the inbox, with sort and filter on one line and a quicker way to select several conversations at once.
- Better calls. After each call you get an AI summary and outcome you can edit. Callers hear ringing while they wait, incoming calls show the saved contact name, and calls and voicemails are transcribed wherever they appear.
- Instagram and Messenger. Direct messages sync reliably, land on the right customer, and the connection is easier to set up.
- Message wording in one place. Edit the wording for booking confirmations, estimates, invoices, payment links and reminders in Settings, with a live preview.
- Readable message variables. When you add details like a customer's name to a text, email or automation, you pick them from a list of plain names instead of typing codes.
- Payment links and reminders. Payment links stay open as long as money is owed, booking confirmations can include one, and customers get a reminder when a payment is due and another a day later.
- Estimates. Approve, convert and invoice from the estimate itself. The approved option is shown first, and the payments card shows what's been paid and what's still due.
- Every customer email looks the same. All the emails your shop sends now share one clean design with your shop's footer, including replies from the inbox.
- See who did what. Every change on a customer shows which person on your team made it.
- Deals. Archive and restore deals, reopen them where you left off, and see the right value and invoice on every deal.
- Contact owners. Change who owns a customer from their details. Their open deals and tasks stay with whoever they're already assigned to.
- Picking a vehicle. Choose the year first, then make, model and trim.
- Phone numbers and dates. Every phone field formats numbers the same way, and every date field uses the same picker.
- ShopWrker reads your files. Attach PDFs, scans, Word files and spreadsheets and ShopWrker reads them, tables included.
- Teach ShopWrker about your shop. Add your own documents and your website to ShopWrker's knowledge so its answers match how your shop works.
- Better research. ShopWrker reads whole web pages instead of just the top, keeps what it has already found, and tells you when a source couldn't be opened.
- Writes the way you ask. ShopWrker sticks to the length and format you ask for and quotes your shop's real services and prices.
- AI help on every page. The AI helpers in Conversations, Automations and the email designer work for everyone on the team, with the same access each person already has.
- No more blank pages. Pages show a loading state straight away, and the dashboard shows today's work before the money charts finish loading.
- Built for a mouse and keyboard. On a computer, buttons and menus are sized for a mouse again. The bigger touch sizes are kept for phones and tablets.
Fixed
- Deposits and balances. Deposits follow a booking or estimate into the job, editing a paid job keeps the payment credited, checkout asks for the right amount, and balances and reports show what's actually still owed.
- Cash payments. A cash deposit taken before the invoice is sent stays on the invoice, and the online link asks only for what's left.
- Refunds and payouts. A refund is only ever counted once, an interrupted refund can be finished safely, and payout status keeps up with bank returns.
- Customer balances. The customer portal and your reports include money still owed on finished or rescheduled jobs and on invoices without a job.
- No messages about cancelled work. Voided, disputed or declined work stops automatic messages, including ones already waiting to go out.
- Your shop's time zone everywhere. Online booking, the Calendar, blocked time, scheduled posts and scheduled messages all use your shop's time, wherever you're working from.
- Online booking. Bookings that don't need a deposit confirm straight away, and bookings that do confirm as soon as it's paid.
- Saving jobs. Creating a job or converting an estimate no longer fails halfway when the shop is busy, and a retry never makes a second job.
- Automations. Invoice due and overdue triggers catch every unpaid invoice, contacts created by an automation carry into later steps, web requests can be read by the next step, and webhook automations stay with the right shop.
- Contacts and search. Create a contact with just an email address, and search by a customer's full name to find their jobs, estimates and invoices.
- Photos and files in messages. Photos and files you send and receive load reliably, and failed ones can be retried.
- Calls and voicemail. Incoming calls ring the right people, voicemails are always saved with their recording, and your text history stays visible after you place a call.
- Signing in. Signing out on one device keeps you signed in everywhere else, and an expired session takes you straight back to login.
- Support chat. The help chat in the corner stays signed in and no longer breaks the page when it can't load.
- ShopWrker reliability. Replies survive a dropped connection, Stop always works, chat titles stay in sync, and a second shop open in another tab no longer mixes up your chats.
- ShopWrker's answers. Questions about who owes money, what's in stock and today's schedule now come back complete and correct.
